Where has the time gone?! A week from today, I will be finished with my second quarter at Medill. This quarter was much more theory based for me, with two different audience classes and a media management class at the Kellogg School. I also took a media design class, which was one of my favorites so far. I learned the process that takes place at the very beginning of some kind of media form, be it a Web site, application or publication.
But, I was able to be a part of a production team of a Web site dedicated to Chicago food. Our team spent five weeks designing, producing and promoting this site. Feel free to take a look here: ChiGut.
Next quarter, I will take on Javascript and an innovation project. The team of 12 will create at least one if not more mobile applications that somehow relate to media and journalism. Once I know what the topic is, I will be sure to post.
It'll be a busy but exciting time for me! I am really looking forward to applying all of the skills I have learned thus far.
